Ken McNabb Trail Rider University August 7th-11th, 2023:
WHAT IS IT? Join Ken McNabb for a week long all-inclusive Trail Rider University! Hosted at Wyoming’s Powderhorn Ranch, guests will enjoy breath taking trails, gain confidence and better relationships with their horses while working with a number of trail obstacles and enjoying one on one group horsemanship lessons with Ken. Guests will adore wonderful fellowship during breakfast, lunch and dinner with homecooked meals by Powderhorn host, Susie True and her five-star team and then enjoy breathtaking views and experiences of the ranch.
WHAT WILL THE WEEK CONSIST OF? The week will consist of riders doing group lessons with Ken improving your horsemanship over obstacles and developing control for the trail. Riders will have the opportunity to work on an outdoor obstacle course and enjoy building confidence with obstacles such as tarps, bridges, noodles, logs and more with the help of Ken! Then every afternoon the group will be divided according to ability level and guided on a trail by Ken and his staff of Master Certified Trainers. There will be beginner to advanced routes offered everyday and Ken will ride with a different group each time! Riders will be exposed to natural obstacles crossing creeks, trailing over down timber, riding trails through the rocks and possibly with a glimpse of the abundance of wildlife from deer, elk, black bears, birds and more. Ken will take out different routes for riders who wish to go deep in to back country and also shorter loops where things don’t get quite as extreme. Whether you consider yourself novice or advanced Ken is excited to help you and your horse grow.
After a long fun day in the saddle be prepared to relax over a homecooked meal and then enjoy the lodging of the ranch as well as cowboy campfire singing occasionally throughout the week. Feel free to kick back in a chair, read a book, watch a good movie, take a walk, sit on the porch and enjoy hearing the running water or possible bugling elk. The ranch is full of wildlife in the Fall. You may also enjoy browsing the Ken McNabb tack store or Powderhorn Ranch gift shop.
